ABOUT US
H.E.A.R.T of Newark is a student-led nonprofit charity organization with goals of providing access to healthcare resources to the underserved community in Newark, NJ. The 5 Pillars of H.E.A.R.T of Newark include:
§ Health: Provide access to local healthcare resources.
§ Education: collaborate with local schools & afterschool programs; encourage healthy nutrition and exercise to promote health.
§ Aid: provide medical kits & food items for crisis relief; collaborate with local shelters.
§ Reform: Promote public health and wellbeing within the community and help to prevent chronic disease.
§ Trust: Engage with the local community through outreach events; encourage student participation in all activities.
